ABOUT HOLY CROSS CONVENT SCHOOL, NANBHAT (1998)

Holy Cross Convent School, Nanbhat, is a beacon of knowledge and values, managed and run by The Maharashtra Holy Cross Sisters’ Society. This registered society belongs to the esteemed Congregation of The Sisters of Mercy of Holy Cross, a Catholic religious order dedicated to the service of humanity. The members of this congregation offer selfless and devoted service, nurturing the intellectual, moral, and aesthetic growth of the young minds entrusted to their care. Rooted in a legacy of compassion and education, the Holy Cross Congregation was founded in 1856 by Fr. Theodosius Florentini, OFM, and Co-Foundress Blessed Mother Maria Theresa Scherer in Switzerland. Their guiding motto, "The need of the time is the will of God," continues to inspire our mission of holistic education and service to society.

A Short History Of Holy Cross

Holy Cross Convent School, Nanbhat, was established in 1998 with the support of the local community, Cardinal Rev. Dr. Ivan Dias, and Bishop Rev. Dr. Thomas Dabre. Initially offering classes in a community center, the school became an English-medium institution under the leadership of Sr. Pushpam. The school expanded over the years, receiving official recognition for its primary and secondary sections, and eventually, permission for the SSC board exams in 2004. Today, the school is renowned for its commitment to academic excellence, co- curricular activities, sports, and support for students with special needs, having nurtured 20 batches of graduates since its inception.
